How did KAIRU turn the fish transparent?
Transparent biological specimens are a method of making biological specimens. They were originally used for scientific research. The specimens used by KAIRU come from abandoned fisheries, exotic species or dead organisms in farms. The integrity of the organisms is not destroyed during production. Next, after multiple treatments with chemicals and dyes, the remains of the dying creatures are reborn into beautiful and unique transparent specimens.

Glass shrimp Pasiphaea spp.
The first and second steps are similar. All steps have external limbs and long and slender claws. Oriental glass shrimp and Japanese glass shrimp are common glass shrimps in the northern and southern waters of Taiwan. Due to their abundant resources, they are often sold in fish markets under the name "crystal shrimp", providing another choice for those who love cherry blossom shrimp. However, Unscrupulous processors often sell red-tailed green shrimp, spiny shrimp or glass shrimp processed and dyed as cherry blossom shrimp products. Consumers need to have a certain ability to judge so as not to waste money on processed foods.
Distribution in Taiwan: It is found throughout Taiwan. It is active in waters with a depth of 150-300 meters during the day and will swim up to shallow seas above 100 meters to hunt at night.
Fishing purposes: often mixed with cherry blossom shrimps. In the past, they were mostly used for miscellaneous purposes. However, as the cherry blossom shrimp resources are gradually decreasing, glass shrimps have become the role of buffering the market. Sakura shrimps are more abundant in autumn and winter, while glass shrimps are more abundant in spring and summer.
